About the event

In England and Wales domestic abuse affects nearly 2 million people per year. Meanwhile 20% of girls and 8% of boys experience some form of sexual abuse. These children grow up and become adults, working in all industries at every level. These are the people you work alongside everyday.

How well-equipped is your organisation to support individuals who are affected by any form of sexual or domestic abuse?

Join us for an interactive workshop where we will immerse you in what promises to be the next big conversation in the wellbeing space. During the workshop we'll explore the impact abuse may have on your employees, along with the roles and responsibilities of managers, HR, colleagues and wellbeing teams. You'll get a chance to hear the findings from our research with survivors of abuse and to find out how you can support your teams whilst also supporting yourself.

Whilst this workshop will touch on the topic of sexual harassment in the workplace the main focus will be how you can support individuals who are affected by abuse outside of the workplace. If you would like to find out more about responding to sexual harassment in the workplace please click here.

This workshop will be led by our founder psychologist Dr Nina Burrowes.

Delegates are welcome to join us from 11.45 for a 12.15 start. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. You are very welcome to stay with us and carry on the conversations over a drink after the workshop has finished at 5pm.
